The AmazingCo Crafty Robot Adventure Day

Lisa

If you’re a family that loves creativity, hands-on activities, scavenger hunts and delicious food, the AmazingCo Crafty Robot Adventure Day is for you!

We recently had the chance to experience this adventure day, where the kids build their own crafty robot, and it was so much fun for all of us!

Stop 1- Morning Tea

Before the day, we were emailed an Adventure Guide, which gave us some activities to do before and after the day (which included setting up a robot themed playlist, which we loved doing!), as well as our digital guide for the day.

The digital guide told us what our quest was for the day, and gave us the details of the three locations we would be going.

Our day started at a cute snack shop where we were treated to hot drinks and donuts.

When we told them that we were on an AmazingCo Adventure Day, they handed the kids an envelope, filled with the information they needed to complete the adventure. They firstly had to solve a clue, and then they were given the first piece of their robot.

In the envelope was all the instructions and the clues they had to solve to complete their quest. My kids were so excited to get started!

Stop 2 - picking up our robot supplies!

Our second stop was at Reverse Garbage in Marrickville. The kids had to solve another clue and they were given bags by the staff, which they could fill with whatever they needed to craft their robots.

Reverse Garbage is amazing! It’s a creative reuse centre, where supplies are donated - all kinds of random stuff - and you can go and get what you need. As well as selling supplies, they hold workshops and it’s perfect for artists, for crafty supplies for kids and teachers. We were there just before Sydney Mardi Gras, so there were a lot of people there picking up sparkly supplies for their costumes!

We spent a long time looking through all the amazing stuff they had, before the kids had picked everything they needed and we could head to our third and final stop.

Stop 3 - lunch and robot building time!

We arrived at a pub for our third stop, and after solving another clue, the kids were given a big box of stationery supplies to help them put their robot together.

We then spent the next couple of hours building the robots, having a delicious lunch and playing in the beer garden of the pub.

The day was packed with creativity, problem solving, and fun, and we left with our own handmade robots, full bellies and huge smiles on our faces!

So, if you’re looking for a fun day out for the whole family, we highly recommend booking your spot on a Crafty Robot Adventure Day!

AmazingCo runs these days in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and they also have a bunch of other fun family, couple and at-home adventures to try!
